20 E/Me Items and Skills Help
I've been playing GW off and on for over 2 years. Just recently I've started playing a little more often and just barely hit 20. I bought the EotN Expansion and am just getting pounded. I know m equipment is probably largely "out of date". All pieces of my armor are Armor 30. I've been mostly using fire skills too, and am wondering if I there is a better setup for mostly solo play, now with my little heroes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Get better armor. Check out the Campfire section of forums for builds. Fire ele is okay, but there are places where fire just doesn't work well,

and the armor should be at least level 60. That's mainly your problem.

At 60AL the skills do the damage that is listed in the description, above that the damage is reduced and undre 60AL the damage is increased. That is your main problem.
Since you're an elementalist i suggest getting insignas that give an armor boost like blessed insigna since you'll be under the effects of an attunement often. As for fire magic, it's fine as long as you do't use it against elementals using fire magic or against destroyers which are very resistant to fire magic and immune to burning. EDIT: you can check the wikis for more info on armor http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Main_Page http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Main_Page Last edited by tijo; Feb 25, 2008 at 06:01 PM // 18:01.. |

Thanks! While waiting to see what input I could get I read a few builds on Elementalists and learned some good stuff.
What are good places to get good armor? The stuff for sale in Lions Arch is about the same as what I've got. But I'm sure there has to be a lot better location for purchasing good equipment. |

That would be boreal station in eotn, Droknar's Forge in prophecies, Consulate Docks in nightfall and Kaineng Center in factions.

How the heck did you make it to level 20 with 30 AL? I don't know if even an Ursan could do that... That gives me an idea.

It wasn't easy. But I rarely take the time to find people to play with so it's been henchman and now heroes to help me along the way. I haven't finished the main storyline so I'll have to do that.
Thanks again for all the help. |
